Triplyfy

A web app that helps travelers generate and customize itineraries using a custom GPT.

Launch: Jan 2025
[4 months]

Overview

We used an existing custom GPT with traffic to build a trip planner that turns AI-generated itineraries into a flexible, editable tool for real travel use. I led end-to-end UX design, from user research and interface design to product iteration and feature proposals.

Problem

Travel planning is time-consuming, fragmented, and hard to organize, especially for multi-destination trips. People are already using GPTs to help, but the process remains manual and disjointed.

Solution

A modular itinerary builder that parses GPT-generated itineraries into structured, editable plans. Includes map view, shareable links, and trip editing.

Key features

1

AI-Powered itinerary creation

Generate your trip using our custom GPT. Edit your chat anytime and instantly sync changes to your Triplyfy planner.

2

Intuitive itinerary builder

Customize your plan in split-screen view. Drag & drop places, add notes or flights, and adjust your schedule while viewing it on the map.

3

Built for collaboration

Share your itinerary via link so friends or co-travelers can view or edit it with you.

4

Smart trip structure

Plan the way real people do: first gather places, then organize by day with location proximity and flow in mind.

5

1-click Google Maps access

Each location card has a button to open directions in Google Maps, so you can navigate easily during your trip.

Generate your trip with our custom GPT, then seamlessly edit it in the web app.

Move cards by drag & drop or assign them to specific days and times.

Add flight details from GPT suggestions or manually create a flight card.

Preview your itinerary on the map or open any location in Google Maps with one click.

Customize pin colors or quickly clear your daily plans.
